Durham, NC <\/em><\/strong>\u2013 (Wednesday, September 20, 2023) The future of innovative transportation is at hand at the Kempower<\/a> EV charging plant in Durham as just this week, company engineers, builders, and management team members took their final tours of the highly anticipated plant opening in North America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To say that we are excited to be rounding the corner in the final stretch ahead of full production of this three-building ~170,000 square foot plant, is an understatement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fast charging solutions provider is currently building production lines and testing units for its modular and scalable Kempower Satellite charging system<\/a> before its pending grand opening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur site produces NEVI-compliant, reliable, and user-friendly DC fast charging solutions for all electric cars, trucks, buses, boats, and machines, which is revolutionizing transportation one charge at a time,\u201d said Marcus Suvanto, Director Operations & Business Development, Kempower North America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWith the opening of our second production location globally, we are not only expected to bring hundreds of additional jobs to North Carolina, but this expansion of Kempower\u2019s footprint is projected to generate  revenue for Kempower\u2019s supply network in North Carolina and in the region while at the same time sharply cutting into greenhouse gas emissions impacting our planet,\u201d said Tomi Ristim\u00e4ki, CEO, Kempower.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kempower\u2019s one-of-a-kind DC fast charging system consists of a centralized Kempower Power Unit offering up to 600kW DC power, which can be dynamically<\/a> distributed between as many as eight charging outputs via charging satellites with 25 kW granularity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Electric vehicle charging technology holds the potential to revolutionize the way we get around, reduce emissions, and pave the way for a greener way of living.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
