For the first time in the Greater Frankfurt Area in Germany, the facility combines the charging of electric city buses with publicly accessible fast-charging points for private EVs. The installation was carried out by the e-mobility specialist EEBC and is equipped with state-of-the-art Kempower technology.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Hybrid charging infrastructure for buses and private EVs<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The charging depot represents an important step in electrifying the city bus network. While the bus fleet is primarily charged overnight, the infrastructure serves private and commercial EVs during the day. This time-based separation maximizes the use of available space and reduces investment costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Dennis Z\u00e4hrl<\/strong>, authorized officer at Ensev GmbH, explains: \u201cWith the charging depot, we have created a flexible and cost-effective infrastructure model that serves both public transport and private vehicles optimally. We are committed to electromobility \u2013 and Kempower technology provides the reliable backbone for this.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eight fast-charging points with modular Kempower technology<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The depot includes a total of eight fast-charging points:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Public area<\/strong>: three charging stations with six connectors (CCS), up to 150 kW, accessible during the day<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Reserved bus area<\/strong>: two charging stations exclusively for city buses, closed outside operating hours<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Flexibility<\/strong>: accommodates vehicles up to 7 meters in length, no height restrictions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The modular Kempower architecture, featuring central Power Units and Satellites, enables efficient charging under high utilization, quick vehicle turnover during the day, and depot charging overnight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Matthias Winzer<\/strong> of EEBC, responsible for the installation, adds: \u201cThanks to the modular Kempower technology, we were able to implement a highly space-efficient and powerful infrastructure. The combination of central power units and flexible satellite chargers makes the charging depot future-proof and easily expandable.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Contribution to regional mobility transition<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project is funded by the Hessian Ministry of Economics, Energy, Transport, Housing, and Rural Areas (HMWVW), with HA Hessen Agentur GmbH acting as project sponsor. The charging depot complements the existing charging network of Stadtwerke Bad Nauheim and strengthens the supply for the electric bus fleet while simultaneously offering an attractive fast-charging option for the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scalable, efficient, future-oriented<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With its hybrid usage concept, modular Kempower technology, and flexible design, the \u201cAm Taubenbaum\u201d charging depot sets new standards for municipal charging infrastructure in Hesse.
