PowerUp America Selected for Four New NEVI Fast Charging Sites in North Carolina using Kempower Technology<\/strong><\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n

PowerUp\u00a0America<\/a>\u00a0announced\u00a0this week\u00a0it has been selected for four new funding awards through the North Carolina Department of Transportation\u2019s National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure program, expanding the company\u2019s fast charging footprint across the state.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kempower will supply the DC fast charging equipment for the new stations, continuing its partnership with PowerUp America. The projects carry an additional North Carolina connection, with Kempower\u2019s North American headquarters and manufacturing operations located in Durham. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new awards will bring public DC fast charging stations to Chocowinity, Plymouth, Wadesboro, and Whiteville, expanding access to reliable charging for residents, travelers, and communities along North Carolina\u2019s transportation corridors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The four new projects represent the next phase of PowerUp America\u2019s growing presence in North Carolina. Working alongside NCDOT, Kempower, utility providers, and local partners, PowerUp America will advance each location through development, design, permitting, construction, and commissioning, with the new stations targeted to open in mid to late 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
