Italian public transportation operator TPER<\/a> has electrified one of Europe\u2019s biggest bus depots in Bologna, exclusively using Kempower technology.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cities are home to 75% of EU citizens, consume over 65% of the world\u2019s energy and account for more than 70% of global CO2 emissions. Bologna is part of the EU\u2019s Horizon Europe mission, which aims to take 100 cities to reach climate neutrality by 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The transition to a more sustainable public transport system plays a pivotal role not only in reducing emissions, but also in offering cleaner air, safer transport and less congestion and noise to citizens.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

A pioneering transportation operator, TPER is a key company for net-zero mobility in Italy and this project represents a milestone for the city of Bologna towards its sustainability goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DC fast-charging technology for electric bus depots<\/strong><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The TPER bus depot for up to 500 vehicles, is one of the largest bus depots in Europe. Using Kempower technology, it now offers up to 25 charging points for its 60 electric buses of 12and 18 meters in length. 20 Kempower Pantographs<\/a> enable TPER to charge the vehicles using a power of up to 300 kW and five single output Kempower Satellites<\/a> serve as auxiliary charging points, allowing to charge the buses with up to 130 kW.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
