In these areas, sustainable mobility solutions are crucial. In Switzerland, around 34% of the country\u2019s total CO\u2082 emissions come from the transport sector, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bafu.admin.ch\/bafu\/de\/home\/themen\/klima\/inkuerze.html#:~:text=Von%20den%20gesamten%20Treibhausgasemissionen%20in%20der%20Schweiz,Abfallbehandlung%20sowie%20den%20Ausstoss%20von%20synthetischen%20Gasen.\">Swiss Federal Office for the Environment<\/a>. Switching to electric vehicles is essential for achieving national and regional climate targets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWith the new charging infrastructure, we are contributing to the decarbonization of the transport sector and are optimally prepared for the mobility of tomorrow. The charging system is not only powerful but also future-proof and scalable \u2013 that was particularly important to us because we always want to develop further,\u201d says Patrick Stutz, Managing Director of Rolf Stutz AG.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>High charging capacity in a compact space<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Across the depot, a total of 1.2 megawatts of charging power is distributed among twelve charging points. This is comparable to the electricity demand of a small district with several hundred households.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Installing the twelve high-performance charging points was especially challenging due to the limited space, but the challenge was successfully met: the compact Kempower Control Units were mounted on crossbeams in a space-saving manner. Their integrated cable reel mechanism allows for easy handling during daily operations. Two modular Power Units each deliver up to 600\u202fkW and can simultaneously supply up to eight charging points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The system is complemented by the EV charging management software Charge Eye, which allows operators on site to efficiently monitor operations, precisely analyze faults, and quickly resolve issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are proud to have implemented a future-proof, high-performance charging infrastructure in a compact space for Rolf Stutz AG. Thanks to Kempower&#8217;s intelligent charging technology and the well-planned setup, the new depot is ideally equipped for electric bus operations \u2013 dynamic, modular, and scalable,\u201d explains Dirk Werner, Product Manager E-Mobility &amp; Energy at BIBUS AG.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sustainable mobility requires strong infrastructure<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the successful implementation of this charging infrastructure project, Rolf Stutz AG sends a clear signal for sustainable public transport in rural areas. The successful project shows that electrification of public transport can be efficiently advanced, even in structurally challenging regions. What it takes is intelligent and scalable charging infrastructure.
