Commercial & off-highway vehicles: Move more cargo in the same area with lower emissions and a bigger electric fleet
“If you have an industrial property, an airport, or a mine, where you have machines running with diesel, you should consider the option of switching to electric vehicles, especially in regard to machines operating inside a factory, a warehouse, a tunnel, or a mine. You should avoid using vehicles with combustion engines inside buildings or underground spaces because their exhaust gases discharge into the air people breathe.”
“Loading applications are good examples of this. Very often, the loading or the warehouse work is carried out with diesel machines inside a building. With electricity, you can reduce emissions – both exhaust and noise – and improve occupational safety and health. In addition, you gain costs savings in ventilation in any application in closed space.”
“In industrial uses, you will continuously be able to reap the benefits of using electric machines and vehicles. For example, in a port or at an airport, there may be strict emission control with strict emission limits.
