Kempower to supply fast charging technology for Swerock’s new fully electric Volvo concrete trucks

Kempower will deliver four new Kempower Satellite charging points to Swerock that will be used to charge the company’s four new fully electric Volvo FE Electric concrete trucks due to launch in Stockholm, Sweden, next month. Part of an extensive joint climate initiative between Swerock and Volvo Trucks, the new electric trucks will be deployed on specific projects with stated climate goals.

Thanks to Kempower’s state-of-the-art technology, the electric concrete trucks can either be charged overnight – sufficient for most driving tasks – or quickly during the working day. Kempower’s Satellite system consists of a Kempower Power Unit and several Kempower satellite charging system. Inside the cabinet, there are Kempower power modules that each provide 50 kW of charging power. Up to twelve modules can be installed in a C-Series charging power unit.

We see commercial vehicles as an essential part of the electrification of multiple industries and are thrilled to provide DC charging technology to Swerock for this innovative project, once again showcasing how Kempower can implement electrification in different applications. We’re looking forward to further developing fast-charging solutions for electric commercial fleets and further empowering the EV evolution.
