Dependable delivery, fast response times and charger uptime you can trust: Measuring true reliability in EV charging
When it comes to EV charging, reliability is everything. Charging operators, fleet managers and drivers all depend on a reliable system that they can trust and works exactly as promised, and EV drivers expect increasingly consistent charging experience. At Kempower, we believe that reliability starts with us, and that’s the standard we’ve built our reputation on: dependable delivery, fast response times and charger uptime you can trust.
We sat down with Kempower’s Antti Vuola, Director, Market Segments to get his perspective on the role Kempower plays in delivering successful projects for our customers.
Q: How fast can you deliver DC fast-charging systems and why does it matter?
A: We pride ourselves on being a global leader in fast charging, so there’s no doubt that speed matters to us. While our technical expertise helps us to build DC fast chargers, our responsibility to our customers doesn’t stop there.
We know that quick and reliable delivery is paramount for keeping projects running smoothly. Our typical lead times range from just 4-10 weeks, making Kempower one of the fastest on the market. We’ve fine-tuned our supply chain and production processes to make sure customers get their charging systems on the ground quickly and efficiently.
Q: How long have you been using a split EV charging system? (i.e. when a single charge point has more than one charging dispenser, allowing dynamic power sharing)
A: Kempower has been working with its dynamic Satellite charging system since 2019 – long before it became the industry trend. The principle is simple: instead of relying on stand-alone chargers, our split system dynamically balances power across multiple plugs. It’s a smarter, more efficient way to charge. By date, we have delivered over 30,000 charging points to over 60 countries, of which approximately 90% are Kempower DC fast-charging systems with distributed power sharing.
We’ve been scaling this solution with our customers for years – from small installations to full charging hubs – without needing to replace the system. The same core technology grows with the site, supported by power upgrades, additional plugs, and our cloud-based ChargEye charging station management system. Our system is developed and manufactured in Finland.
Q: How many charging plugs can you have in a single DC fast-charging system?
A: With our MORE Power, MORE Plugs charging solution, the scalability goes even further. Today, up to 8 plugs can be connected to 1.2 MW of power, allowing sites to serve more vehicles at once and adapt as demand increases. Soon, we increase the number of plugs even higher. It’s flexibility that makes business sense for charge point and fleet operators planning long-term growth.

Q: Can you already deliver megawatt charging for trucks and other heavy-duty vehicles?
A: Yes. Kempower is already at the forefront of megawatt charging, with deliveries in Europe and the US. Our first installations are successfully commissioned in Europe, and we’re commissioning additional sites in the near future in both Europe and the US.
We’re also scaling quickly with large orders for charging hubs at ports and commercial sites, enabling the high-power infrastructure needed for heavy-duty transport. With our modular technology and experience in real-world deployments, we’re well positioned to lead the rollout of megawatt charging across global markets.
A: True reliability is proven by results, and our performance since 2019 speaks for itself:
- Over 29 million charging sessions
- More than 30,000 charging points delivered by date, of which approximately 90% are charging systems with distributed power
- Across 60+ countries
- Over 1.1 TWh of energy delivered
- With >99% charger uptime
For our customers, that means EV drivers can count on fast chargers being available when they need them. Operators can count on a DC charging system that runs smoothly day after day.
In the fast-moving EV charging sector, it’s not enough to keep up. You need a partner who is already one step ahead.
You can trust Kempower to deliver – reliably, quickly, and with technology you can trust.
