Insights from Kempowerians at #SFTexpo2024

This week, Kempower had the incredible opportunity to participate in the 2024 Sustainable Fleet Technology Conference, hosted by the folks at the North Carolina Clean Energy Technology Center of NC State University. This event was not just another date on the calendar for us; it was a vital platform where industry leaders, innovators, and visionaries gathered to discuss the future of transportation. Looking back, we couldn’t be more thrilled with how it all came together!

From our booth, strategically placed at the forefront of the conference in booth number one, to the engaging panel discussions, Kempower’s presence was both impactful and inspiring. As leaders in the EV charging industry, we were proud to share our insights, explore emerging trends, and most importantly, connect with so many other exhibitors who are just as passionate about sustainable transportation as we are.

Embracing the Future of EV Infrastructure: Thoughts from Jed Routh, VP of Markets and Products, North America

During the conference, I had the privilege of speaking on a panel about the transformative trends shaping the EV charging industry. It’s clear that we are at a pivotal moment, where the convergence of technology, sustainability, and consumer demand is driving rapid change.

At Kempower, we’re not merely observers of these trends—we’re actively shaping them. Our commitment is to develop scalable, reliable, and user-friendly charging systems that meet the growing demands of both fleet operators and individual consumers.

One of the key topics I touched on was the importance of interoperability and sustainable energy sources in powering the next generation of EVs.

The EV charging industry is at a transformative juncture, where the convergence of technology, sustainability, and consumer demand is driving rapid evolution. At Kempower, we’re not just observing these trends; we’re actively shaping them. Our mission is to develop scalable, reliable, and user-friendly charging systems that meet the growing demands of fleet operators and individual consumers alike.

It’s essential to think flexibly and plan for scalable systems now rather than later!

A reminder to our partners and potential partners on this journey.. Don’t be afraid to ask for help about electrification; the knowledge is there, and it will help us all make really good decisions. I’m particularly excited about the potential of autonomous functions in EV’s. These advancements are hitting fleets faster than you might think, and they’re making a significant positive impact.

Leading the Charge in Managed Charging: Thoughts from Rhett Kiser, Product Manager, North America

I also had the chance to engage with audiences about Kempower’s role in the managed charging landscape. As a Product Manager at Kempower, I’ve seen firsthand how critical effective energy management is to the sustainability and efficiency of EV fleets.

Our ChargEye software and other charging solutions are designed with this in mind—to optimize charging schedules, reduce energy costs, and minimize grid impact. It’s all about giving people the information they need, in a way that’s easy to digest, and making sure that it’s delivered when they need it most.

One thing I’ve learned is that having an abundance of data is a good thing—it’s an opportunity.

But to truly harness that potential, we need to work together with other industry leaders to build something great for everyone.

Kempower is at the forefront of the managed charging conversation, and this is where our technology truly shines. With our ChargEye software, we’re giving people the information they need in a digestible way, right when they need it.

Managed charging isn’t just about plugging in a vehicle; it’s about optimizing energy management. This is crucial for the sustainability and efficiency of all EV’s!

As we continue to talk to stakeholders and work together with other industry leaders, we see the abundance of new and evolving information sharing around EV charging not as an overwhelming challenge but as a tremendous opportunity! That’s why we love meeting and talking to people at trade shows like #STFexpo2024

We have global experience, and we’re learning together. Sharing information is how we’ll drive the EV space forward. After all, electric vehicles don’t need to be scary—they represent the future, and that future is bright.

Asking questions and engaging with likeminded individuals is vital to building a better future and #PoweringPlanetCool
