Synergy in Action: Reflecting on Kempower’s Inaugural Customer Synergy Days

The acceleration of North America’s electrification journey has been underway for more than 100 years. In 1902, President Theodore Roosevelt made history by riding in the first modern presidential motorcade – in none other than an electric vehicle (EV). Today, the EV industry is electrifying passenger airplanes, port operations, and more, demonstrating the sky is no longer the limit for electrification.

The EV market is at a crucial moment in time where new ideas can drive meaningful, sustainable change. At Kempower, we know meeting the growing market demand for EV fast-charging solutions requires innovation and collaboration. This is why we brought together Kempower customers and partners for our inaugural Customer Synergy Days: to drive the electrification movement forward, together.

Customer Synergy Days is a forum to foster new levels of collaboration and host candid conversations with our customers about their needs. During the three-day event at our North American headquarters, we brought together devoted advocates and trusted industry leaders for panel discussions, technical showcases, breakout sessions, and networking activities. Throughout, I challenged attendees to not only represent their organizations, but also the broader industry we collectively serve. We focused on the future of electrification, reducing emissions, and turning challenges into opportunities, to develop a roadmap for success.

Driving electrification forward, together.

The EV industry is experiencing significant momentum, with the global market projected to grow by more than 30% annually over the next five years. This growth is fueled not only by advances in road transportation but also by the expansion of electrification across ports, airports, and other key infrastructure. Together, these developments are accelerating the transition to a cleaner, more sustainable world.

This shift is not only shaping industries but also influencing the next generation of consumers. More than 40% of Gen Z consumers expect to own an EV in the future, highlighting how electric mobility is becoming a mainstream and lasting movement.

As both the market and consumer demand evolve, carbon emissions reductions remain a priority across our business. The port and fleet segment electrification strategy will reduce 11% of global greenhouse gases. At Kempower, our sustainability initiative is to achieve 100% carbon neutrality by 2035, and we are working toward achieving this goal through the support and collaboration of our customers and partners.

Turning pain points into possibilities

The market is not without its challenges – a reality since Roosevelt’s motorcade in 1902. Yet, just as the industry has navigated obstacles for more than a century, we view today’s challenges as opportunities for growth and innovation.

The need for access to charging infrastructure persists. In the U.S., 88 out of 100 metro areas have less than half of the charging infrastructure they need. While policy and incentive uncertainty introduce some risks for manufacturers and infrastructure providers, this will not hinder the growth of the market or our ability to deliver results for customers. The global market is expected to grow 30% annually over the next five years, nearly 45% in the U.S. and Canada.

I am proud to work alongside a dedicated team, as well as innovative partners and customers. Our commitment remains steadfast: to be a trusted partner delivering more plugs, more power, and more data through Kempower’s groundbreaking software. For our customers, reducing operational costs, maximizing ROI, and receiving exceptional service are top priorities. That’s why we continually invest in customer and partner relationships – with the long-term success of our industry in mind.
