Empowering Engineers of Today and Tomorrow!
At Kempower, we believe in the power of collaboration, education, and innovation. On July 18th, we had the pleasure of hosting the Durham Engineers Club at our Durham, North Carolina manufacturing facility, providing an inside look into our innovative technologies and sustainable practices. Leading the tour were Meredith Biechele, our Product Development Manager, and Somia Youssef, our Product Specialist. Their expertise and passion for product development and sustainable energy solutions made the event both informative and inspiring for all attendees.
Connecting with the Engineering Community
Tours like these are invaluable for several reasons. Primarily, they allow us to connect directly with the engineering community, sharing our vision and the tangible impact of our work. Engineers are the backbone of innovation, and by opening our doors to them, we foster a spirit of collaboration that drives progress. It was especially heartening to see both familiar faces and new members from the Durham Engineers Club, demonstrating the growing interest in sustainable energy solutions.
Educating and Inspiring
One of our primary goals during the tour was to educate and inspire both current and future engineers. We showcased our latest advancements in sustainable power solutions, including our state-of-the-art charging systems designed to meet the demands of a rapidly changing energy landscape. By providing a hands-on experience, we aimed to ignite a passion for innovation and sustainability in the minds of our visitors.
Meredith and Somia led engaging discussions about the importance of our work and how it contributes to “Powering Planet Cool.” They highlighted how our products are designed not only to meet the needs of today but also to anticipate and address the challenges of tomorrow. This proactive approach ensures that we remain at the forefront of the industry, setting standards for excellence and sustainability.
“It was inspiring and refreshing to connect with fellow engineers who were curious about our product. The Durham Engineers Club is a testament to the intellectual concentration in the research triangle. Its members are passionate, engaged, and realize we are stronger when we share and learn from each other. I love sharing Kempower’s story and the journey we have taken so far because it tells the tale of a company that is on the path to change (and charge) the world.”
Meredith Biechele, Product Development Manager
“Our ‘electric’ exchange with the Durham Engineers Club, from thought-provoking technical discussions to experiencing our fast chargers firsthand while exploring Kempower’s advanced facility, reinforced the power of shared passion and diverse perspectives in engineering a brighter future. Enriching interactions like these empower us to continue Powering Planet Cool.”

Empowering the Future
Ultimately, tours like these are about more than just showcasing our products; they are about empowering the next generation of engineers. By providing a platform for learning and exchange, we hope to inspire young minds to pursue careers in engineering and sustainable energy. The future of our planet depends on the ingenuity and dedication of these individuals, and we are proud to play a part in their journey.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Durham Engineers Club for joining us and to all the engineers who are passionate about making a difference.
Together, we can power a brighter, cooler future for all.
