Kempower Customer Revel Partners with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to Provide User-Friendly EV Charging Stations for John F. Kennedy International Airport
EV charging station infrastructure thrives on collaboration, where shared expertise can achieve accessible and sustainable outcomes. As North America’s fastest-growing EV charging manufacturer, Kempower is thrilled to work with customers like Revel on revolutionary partnerships. The Port Authority of NY and NJ and Revel have collaborated to provide user-friendly charging experiences, powered by Kempower, to John F. Kennedy International Airport.
Kennedy Airport is now home to 46 fast charging EV chargers, including 24 new Kempower chargers installed by Revel. The collaboration provided innovative solutions to Kennedy Airport, more than doubling the airport’s public EV fast-charging capacity. Located in the For Hire Vehicle Hold 1 Lot West, the chargers are available for use by the public and for-hire vehicle drivers. The lot serves as a public resting place for drivers entering and exiting the airport, ensuring reliable EV infrastructure is easily accessible.
At Kempower, we take pride in supporting our customers and helping them turn their vision into success,” said Monil Malhotra, president of Kempower North America. “Kempower is proud to have a role in this meaningful partnership, providing quick and scalable solutions to drivers, while advancing the world to a more sustainable future.”
To meet the growing demand for EV infrastructure, Kempower is providing state-of-the-art technology all over the nation to sites just like Kennedy Airport, ensuring that clean transportation alternatives are within reach.
“As we work toward a cleaner, more sustainable future, expanding electric vehicle charging infrastructure is a crucial step in reducing emissions at our airports and beyond,” Port Authority Chairman Kevin O’Tooleshared. “By partnering with Revel, we’re not only providing essential resources for for-hire vehicle drivers but also reinforcing our commitment to making clean energy solutions more accessible. The fast chargers at Kennedy Airport are another milestone in our broader effort to combat climate change and to create a greener transportation future.”
“Reliable fast charging at New York’s airports, where rideshare drivers start and end their most valuable trips, will make or break our city’s electrification mandate,” Frank Reig, co-founder & CEO of Revel says. “We’re proud to partner with the Port Authority to bring the city’s fastest chargers directly to those drivers, first at Kennedy Airport and later this year at LaGuardia Airport.”
By collaborating closely with customers like Revel and the Port Authority, Kempower is advancing EV charging infrastructure, supporting the effort to make EVs the norm while creating a cleaner and more sustainable world for everyone, everywhere.
