Power Unit
The Kempower Power Unit is a rack-style, modularly scalable converter cabinet solution that delivers up to 1,200 kW of total charging power in 25 kW granularity. Connect 1-8, and soon MORE, up to 12 charging plugs, Kempower Satellites or other charging dispensers, to a 600 or 1,200 kW Power Unit.

Kempower Power Unit
Kempower Power Unit is a modular and scalable DC fast-charging cabinet for electric cars, electric commercial vehicles, and electric off-highway vehicles. The Kempower Power Unit is also suitable for electric marine operations. Whether you need a lot of EV charging power in retail, at a worksite, or for a large fleet, the Kempower Power Unit is for you.
With Kempower Power Unit’s modular structure, a single CPU offers power from 50 kW to 200 kW. The combined CPU can consist of 2 – 6 cabinets up to 1,200 kW. If there’s a need to scale up your charging application, we can go even higher. When your business grows and you need more charging power, the Kempower Power Unit can be expanded by adding more cabinets to cover your needs.
Kempower Power Unit is designed to serve a large number of electric vehicles. As your business grows, the system is easily scaled up accordingly, due to the modular rack-style structure of the cabinet with add-on power modules to furnish cabinets to their full potential. The weatherproof cabinet frame and a special coating of the electronics on modules ensure that the Power Unit cabinets can be installed both indoors and outdoors. It’s tested for tough weather and it can endure rain, snow, dirt, and dust. The versatility offers nearly limitless possibilities for EV charging via charging cables and pantographs.
Easy to scale up
Kempower Distributed Charging Systems are tailored to your needs. The Kempower Power Unit’s rack-style structure allows individual cabinets to be furnished with 1–4 power modules, each providing 50 kW of charging power capacity in 25 kW granularity.
With single-, double- and triple-cabinet options, each Power Unit can support 1-12 charging points.
Our modular design allows you to start with empty power module slots and easily expand as your charging power and point requirements grow. Adding more power modules and charging points, including Kempower Control Units and Satellites, is a straightforward process.
