Kempower attends the Sustainable Fleet Expo in Raleigh, North Carolina

Durham, NC – (Wednesday, August 16, 2023) During a keynote delivery plenary panel on the topic of ‘Advancements in Medium and Heavy-Duty Vehicles and Infrastructure’ at the annual Sustainable Fleet Technology Conference in Raleigh, NC; Kempower leadership championed its latest DC charging technology serving fleet operators, just as America marks the one-year anniversary of the inflation reduction act.

“Our chargers distribute power dynamically, allowing multiple vehicles to be charged at optimum power, maximizing power utilization, saving time and money and making the drive smoother for fleet operators and owners,”

says Marcus Suvanto, Kempower Director of Operations & Business Development, North America.

Transportation makes up the majority of greenhouse gas emissions impacting the environment. The inflation reduction act includes support for companies like Kempower that are helping fleets reduce their carbon emissions.

“Charger availability is the cornerstone for a smooth transition to electric in logistics across North America and a key component to addressing climate impacts from our industry,” said Joshua Mueller, Business Development Central USA who also presented during a tech talk at the annual conference. “With over 99% uptime, our robust solutions provide depot and fleet managers peace of mind as Kempower’s Dynamic Charging optimizes power based on the vehicle’s needs & charging curves whereas traditional chargers leave behind wasted kilowatts of unused energy,” said Mueller.

“Reducing emissions will take diverse efforts including the implementation of renewable energy options such as electric vehicle charging,” said event moderator Rick Sapienza, NC Clean Energy Technology Center. “One of the biggest opportunities to have an impact on our environment is in the medium and heavy-duty sector and we all need to evaluate our investments in improving this industry,” concluded Sapienza.

Kempower’s DC fast charging technology and Kempower ChargEye, company’s cloud SaaS solution is specifically designed to optimize the total cost of ownership (TCO). With intelligent power distribution, charging power is dynamically distributed to meet both overnight and daytime charging demands. The complete solution delivery with the modular design makes it easy to scale up charging capacity as your electric fleet grows.

“Offering charging accessibility around the state is a key priority for the NCDOT,” said Nastasha Earle-Young, NCDOT policy director. “As we explore renewable energy option for a diverse pool of drivers, we appreciate working alongside our partners who are focused on powering fleet traveling to and through North Carolina,” Earle-Young said.
