  • Power upgrade

CHAdeMO to CCS retrofit

CHAdeMO usage is declining sharply in Europe and globally. Today, CHAdeMO accounts for less than 30% of connectors in Europe and under 15% of new installations, while CCS dominates new deployments. CCS charging plugs are used 5 times more often and deliver ~90% more energy compared to CHAdeMO plugs. More CCS plugs also reduce queuing and frustration at your charging site. CHAdeMO is being phased out in most markets; CCS is the standard for nearly all new EVs.

Kempower makes it easy to replace CHAdeMO connectors with CCS on your existing Kempower Satellite or Station Charger units. Our retrofit kits are designed for quick installation by certified service partners.

LNE / MID modernization

Kempower’s LNE / MID energy meter modernization solution allows you to install an approved energy meter without replacing your existing Kempower V2 Satellite, ensuring minimal downtime and improved cost efficiency.

The energy meters comply with LNE and MID standards for accurate energy measurement. Ensure your electric fleet is compliant with local requirements by installing LNE / MID energy meter without replacing the entire Kempower Satellite.

The energy meters are LNE and MID approved and they are available for both single and double output V2 Satellites that are equipped with or without existing energy meters.

Adaptive Voltage Retrofit

Originally, older Kempower charging systems featuring the Power Unit or Station Charger C500 were designed for charging electric vehicles with 400-volt powertrains. As the prevalence of vehicles equipped with 800-volt powertrains grows, the demand for supporting 800-volt charging is on the rise. Our Adaptive Voltage Retrofit service enables you to adapt to these evolving needs by upgrading your charging system to support both the 400-volt and 800-volt charging ranges without the need for a complete system replacement, thereby extending the system’s lifespan.

We provide payment terminal solutions that seamlessly integrate into your existing site. Regulatory changes often mandate the presence of payment terminals for existing charging systems in specific regions. Please note, retrofit services are exclusively offered for already installed and commissioned charging systems. Presently, payment terminal upgrades are available for sites equipped with Kempower DC Satellite Version 1.
