Kempower drop-in payment QR Code ensures a better user experience and a secure access to the information you want to provide to your customers. Instead of placing stickers on the charger, you can offer a secure drop-in payment QR code that is safe to use and can be updated remotely.
Why is this important?
Traditionally, the drop-in charging payment details is provided with QR code stickers placed on the chargers. Updating stickers is slow and expensive and exposes the EV driver to the misuse of customer information. Recently, there have been cases in the Nordics where the QR code sticker on the EV charger has directed the EV driver to a fraudulent website to fill in credit card details.
The problem is the QR code sticker: anyone can replace the original QR code sticker by gluing their QR code on top of it. This increases the risk for misuse: EV drivers may even risk to lose their credit card information.
