Kempower receives the first-ever Amazon Web Services Finland Elevate Award for innovative and effective use of cloud services

Kempower received the first-ever Amazon Web Services (AWS) Finland Elevate Award on Wednesday 24 January 2024. The AWS Elevate Award recognizes the economic contribution and innovation of Finnish companies. The main prize was given to Kempower for the company’s innovative and effective use of AWS cloud services in its operations. This was the first time the AWS Elevate award was given in Finland.

The selection criteria for the award were the level of innovation and how it addresses business challenges, impact and scalability, cloud strategy and use of technology. Kempower’s strategic cloud-native approach and its customer solution, Kempower ChargEye, addresses the problem of how to build an electric vehicle charging solution that is scalable, user- and data-centric, and enables seamless interoperability of devices and software.

Kempower ChargEye is a cloud-based charging management system that enables remote management of the charging field, quality analysis of products and services, as well as energy management and optimization. The ChargEye architecture is built to serve Kempower’s customers around the world with different needs, regulatory requirements, and customer preferences. It enables global operations and expansion into new markets as well as global transport transition to zero emissions. It also supports national energy infrastructures and the optimization of energy use.

“We are thrilled to receive this award from AWS. Their cloud services serve as a platform for our state-of-the-art charging management system Kempower ChargEye, through which we manage our charging systems and data”, says Mikko Veikkolainen, Kempower’s Chief Technology Officer.

“I would like to thank our talented Kempower team for their excellent and persistent work in developing Kempower ChargEye. It plays a key role in our business by integrating the charging hardware into the customer’s business. Cloud technology contributes to Kempower’s vision of a cleaner and more sustainable society with fully electric transport”, Veikkolainen ends.
