Kempower charging solutions charge EVs in the heart of the bustling city of Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia
The fast-charging site is located in Berjaya Times Square in downtown Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is equipped with a Kempower Satellite charging system, including two Kempower Satellite charging points. At present, both satellites are equipped with a single output, each delivering up to 225kW of power, and are powered with Kempower’s adaptive voltage system. The station has a total power of 400 kW. Kempower’s Satellite system allows the site to be expanded, both in terms of charging points and power, as demand grows in the future.
The Berjaya Times Square area is a mix of commercial and residential buildings in the bustling downtown of Kuala Lumpur. The nearby shopping centers and cafes bring significant pedestrian and vehicle traffic to the area. The narrow and space-saving design of the Kempower Satellites played a crucial role in successfully integrating the site into this busy area.
The charging site was installed by Kempower’s e-mobility service partner WBG (my) Sdn Bhd. The Berjaya Times Square fast charging hub was also created in collaboration with Yinson GreenTech, an energy solutions provider, and charge point operator.
