LAHTI, FINLAND – Kempower introduces an electric robot bus at the Lahti head office and production site. The robot bus is used to transport goods internally between Kempower’s two factories in Lahti. Until now, power modules have been moved between the two factories by trucks, but the robot bus will soon replace these transports. The bus was delivered by the Finnish robot vehicle operator Remoted.

The electric robot bus will reshape the transportation of power modules between the production areas, improving operational efficiency. Kempower’s introduction of the electric robot bus signifies a revolution in the way the company manages logistics, departing from conventional truck-based transportation methods.

Kempower’s introduction of the electric robot bus is poised to bring forth several transformative benefits. The robot bus will significantly enhance production efficiency by reducing dependence on costly intermediate storage through continuous operational capabilities. Additionally, it reflects Kempower’s commitment to embracing electrification within its operations, fostering a seamless connection between production facilities to optimize manufacturing processes and delivery timelines.

This strategic move is a step towards a more efficient, automated production approach, bolstering local manufacturing capabilities in Finland and showcasing the country’s competence in electric transportation technology.

“We are excited about the positive impact this milestone will have on our operations at our HQ in Lahti. We want to contribute to the promotion of the widespread adoption of electric transportation and a more efficient and automated future,”

said Kempower’s COO Sanna Otava.

“By working together and combining Kempower’s and Remoted’s expertise, new innovation is created. This demand extends to global markets, signaling a need for novel solutions in factory logistics,” says Tatu Nieminen, CEO of Remoted.
