Kempower continues as an official partner of the Finnish national ski jumping teams – the athletes are ready for the FIS World Cup Ruka Nordic

Kempower will join the Finnish national ski jumping team at the season opening at FIS Ruka Nordic 2023 in Finland. FIS Ruka Nordic kicks off the World Cup tour for competitions in Cross-Country skiing and Nordic Combined and continues the World Cup tour of Ski Jumping. The three-day event starts on 24th of November in Ruka, Finland.

The national ski jumping team prepared for the World Cup a few weeks ago in Oberstdorf and Garmisch Partenkirchen in Germany in excellent conditions, says Ski Jumping Team’s head coach Lauri Hakola:

“Everything went well in Germany and there has been a positive trend in training and jumping during the autumn. I have a good feeling about the camp. Of course, there is certainly still a lot to develop, and we will continue to work humbly and carefully. The ski jumping teams are starting to weld well together: the teams have a very good team spirit, and the athletes are working well towards a common goal.”

Kempower joined the Finnish Ski Association’s network of partners in 2022 and the partnership will last for one Olympic season, until the 2026 Winter Olympics.

“Supporting ski jumping is a natural fit for Kempower, as the company is from Lahti, a city with a strong winter sports and ski jumping tradition. Many of our employees have attended the Lahti Ski Games to watch the games and cheer on the athletes,”

says Paula Savonen, VP of Communications at Kempower.

Paula continues, “we want to be strongly involved in building the success of Finland’s national ski jumping teams and we believe that our own growth story can also serve as an inspiration for young athletes. “

Kempower wishes the ski jumpers good luck at FIS Ruka Nordic in Kuusamo, Finland! For more info about the event, visit:  https://rukanordic.com/en/
