Kempower cooperates with VINCI Autoroutes to fast-charge EVs during the peak holiday season
Working with Green Corp Konnection and VINCI Autoroutes, Kempower has supplied its S-Series charging satellite system, consisting of a C-Series charging power unit and two double satellites. This innovative system is part of the Autoroute Bas Carbone (Low Carbon Freeway) agreement signed last March between VINCI Autoroutes and the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region to accelerate the development of low-carbon mobility. Powered locally using solar PV, the charging station does not require any high-voltage connection. Equipped with a battery connected to the solar plant, it offers the necessary power for ultra-fast recharging, strengthening the charging stations already installed at the Saint-Rambert-d’Albon East service area.
We’re happy to see our products in action in France on this project, which is our first live system in the country to utilize solar PV and battery storage functionality. Together with VINCI Autoroutes, we’re showcasing how fast-charging creates an even better EV experience. Our products are designed in a modular way, which has allowed VINCI Autoroutes to launch this system quickly. This project will have a positive impact during the peak holiday season, both by improving the charging experience for EV drivers and decarbonizing transportation in general.
