Kempower achieves high EcoVadis score, reinforcing commitment to sustainability

Lahti, Finland – Leading EV fast-charging solutions provider Kempower has been awarded a prestigious EcoVadis medal, reflecting its strong commitment to sustainability and corporate social responsibility. 

Kempower’s EcoVadis score of 69/100 places it in the 90th percentile, which means Kempower’s score is higher than or equal to the score of 90 percent of all companies rated by EcoVadis. Kempower’s score is better than last year, and it’s a continuation of the company’s sustainability work.  

The assessment covers four key areas: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. Scores range from 0 to 100, and companies can earn medals based on their performance: Platinum (top 1%), Gold (top 5%), Silver (top 15%), and Bronze (top 35%). Kempower earned the Silver medal. 

Key Highlights from Kempower’s EcoVadis Scorecard: 

• Environment (70/100): Kempower has implemented robust environmental policies, including those on energy consumption, greenhouse gases (GHGs), and product end-of-life management. The company has set quantitative objectives for reducing energy consumption and waste, and it actively engages in renewable energy initiatives and carbon offset programs. 

• Labor & Human Rights (70/100): The company has comprehensive policies addressing labor and human rights issues, such as working conditions, health and safety, and diversity. Kempower conducts regular employee satisfaction surveys and provides extensive training and development programs. 

• Ethics (70/100): Kempower maintains strong ethical standards with policies on information security, anti-corruption, and conflict of interest. The company ensures employee awareness through training and has procedures in place for handling sensitive transactions. 

• Sustainable Procurement (60/100): Kempower integrates social and environmental clauses into supplier contracts and conducts regular assessments of supplier practices. The company also provides training for buyers on sustainability issues within the supply chain.
