”I have worked my entire professional career in renewable energy,” says Rebecca, Partner Sales Manager for Kempower Australia.

”What I value most in a company is a purpose that I can identify with,” says Marina. ”In this case, it is to help decarbonize the world by embracing electricity-based solutions.”
A big part of Rebecca’s career was spent at Tesla. When she moved to Kempower, she was amazed at how much it reminded her of her former workplace and how its products could help create a more sustainable future.
”Kempower is a really innovative company, backed by strong engineering and a long history of manufacturing, which to me is great,” she says. ”Working with the company and its DC fast-charging solutions helped replicate the excitement I felt when I first got into this field. The product itself is incredibly interesting and very relevant to sustaining the e-vehicle evolution.”

One of Marina’s favorite aspects of working with Kempower is being able to seek help and advice from all levels of the company’s management.
”Every idea I or my colleagues have is welcomed by my seniors. I have been given many opportunities to work with the top management and travel with them to important events. I have always felt very integrated, which is very empowering.”
Rebecca agrees, stating that Kempower’s flat organizational structure and culture of openness and support make taking on daunting tasks easier and more collaborative. Because of this, she has been able to turn potential challenges into opportunities to innovate and co-create entirely new solutions.
”The company is relatively new, but there is this air of confidence about it,” she says. ”There are so many smart people working here, and the attitude everywhere is that even when things become challenging, we will figure out a way to get past it together. And that helps turn these challenges into avenues for us to grow.”

”Their focus on having a healthy work-life balance is a big help when the team is spread out across so many regions. There is constant encouragement to make sure you are looking after yourself, taking time off if you have had to work extra hours, and prioritizing your health and mental well-being. All this is great to see from an organization.”
”My first impression was that this was too good to be true,” adds Marina. ”I had never worked with Finnish people and the culture is amazing. It has been eight months since I started working here and my first impressions have not changed. I work with colleagues in Spain, Italy, and France and all of them feel the same way. It is highly motivating.”
4. Living the mission and embracing the culture
A standout feature of working with Kempower is the onboarding process. While many companies claim to care about sustainability, collaboration and innovation, very few make the effort to ensure that their employees are on the same page, says Rebecca and Marina. ”Kempower gets their employees to visit their headquarters in Finland which is amazing,” says Rebecca. ”We get to see where Kempower was born, get an idea of what Finnish culture is like, and how to work with Finnish people. That’s just such a great thing for the company to do, to make sure to show how much they value their employees and to ensure they understand the company. It helps facilitate a good working relationship between all of us working for Kempower in different parts of the world.”
